Greetings from NYC!

I flew in earlier this evening and am about to turn in for the night. My aim is to rest up this weekend, because Monday I am embarking on something that I am equal parts thrilled and terrified to do: I am taking a week-long intensive comedy class.

It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. And, something I thought I’d never do. But in the same spirit as my travel earlier this summer, when I realized I had some time and was not sure for how much longer that might last, I leapt in.

It’s also an item on my Mondo Beyondo, or, Life List.

Are you familiar with the practice? The idea is to write down on paper your wildest hopes, goals, and dreams, no matter how grand, crazy, or unattainable they may seem.

I have read that, without suspecting it, you may begin to cross items off the list before you know it.

So far this summer I have crossed off eating fondue and chocolate in Switzerland, visiting Italy, Austria, and Denmark, and traveling through Europe by train.
