Next Friday, we’re flying to Germany for a wedding.
We found a really cheap ticket home out of Zurich, and have decided to take advantage of the fact that we’ll be there to do some traveling.
The trouble is…
we can’t decide where to go! Italy is top of my list, but I am also curious to see Copenhagen, Vienna, Budapest, and Barcelona.
Last summer in Amsterdam, we found it worked really well for us to choose one city and settle in for a few days to get to know it well. But I also think that this trip would be an opportunity to do a grand tour.
How about you? Have you traveled through Europe? If so, where did you go? If not, what would be your dream itinerary?
Wherever I end up, I will be sure to share pictures and stories!
Hope you have a great weekend!
P.S. 36 Hours in Paris.

I’ve been to most of Europe. It really is a matter of how much time you have, what your budget is and what are your preferences. If you need suggestions, have a look here: https://smalleuropeancountry.wordpress.com/category/europe/europe-by-region/
And if you have specific questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
Thanks Michael! You have some great tips. I think you’re right – a minimum of 3.5 – 5 days in each place is the way to go. And I agree it’s ideal to set up a base camp from which to explore a few places via day trips. Still mulling over the options…looking forward to updating soon!
